JRM Group have confirmed that the #11 Bentley Continental GT3 entered for Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman will not race in the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship. The team released a statement announcing the decision saying the move was in response to the COVID-19 situation and the impact it was having on people’s lives.

The team say that the decision was reached in collaboration with partners, sponsors and the drivers of the car, and point out that with people furloughed or made redundant as a result of the virus, everyone’s livelihoods have been affected.

The statement continued, “While the whole team is extremely disappointed with the decision to withdraw our entry, it has been taken primarily out of respect. Secondly, it has been taken because racing in 2020 will not be the experience that fans, teams, sponsors and organisers always look forward to.”

The team have not ruled out a one off appearance at the final round of the championship the Silverstone 500 and say the team, drivers and sponsors are all now working on coming back to the championship stronger than ever in 2021.
